The cheese kürtőskalács is our revolutionary version, the one that won over the contest juries! While the classic kürtőskalács is sweet and coated in sugar, our savory version uses premium, top-quality cheese (5%) that melts beautifully over the warm dough, creating a crisp, aromatic crust unlike anything you have tried before. 100% vegetarian - without butter!
The preparation is just as meticulous as for the sweet version - our secret dough (without butter!) is kneaded daily and left to ferment until it is just right, then wound by hand onto the traditional wooden spits. The magic happens when, instead of rolling the kürtőskalács in sugar, we coat it generously with freshly grated cheese (5%). On contact with the flames the cheese melts, caramelizes lightly and forms a crisp, golden crust that is simply irresistible!
