🕰️ It All Began in 2009...

In the spring of 2009, on March 25, the first Saitos shop opened in Baia Mare. It wasn't just a shop - it was one family's dream of sharing the magic of authentic kürtőskalács with Romania.

Our passion for Hungarian culinary tradition and our wish to bring this unique, irresistible dessert into Romania's shopping centers set us off on this extraordinary journey.

There were plenty of challenges along the way: how do you keep something authentic in a modern setting? How do you teach people what real kürtőskalács is? How do you strike the right balance between tradition and innovation?

From a dream in 2009 to a brand known throughout Romania

2009
✨ The First Step - Baia Mare
The first Saitos shop opened in Baia Mare on March 25. The start of an extraordinary adventure.
2012
🚀 Regional Expansion
We opened locations in Satu Mare. The Saitos brand began to gain recognition across Transylvania.
2015
🚚 Mobile Units
We launched 2 modern food trucks for events and festivals. Saitos reaches every corner of Romania!
2019
📍 Conquering Oradea
Our first shop in Oradea. We opened in a new city to make our product better known there.
2020
📍 Conquering Cluj-Napoca
Our first shop in the heart of Transylvania. Cluj quickly became the most important market for Saitos.
2023
🎉 3 Locations in Cluj + Sibiu
A major expansion: Cluj Iris, Cluj Central, Cluj BIG and Sibiu Shopping City. We became Cluj's favorite brand.
2024
🎂 15th Anniversary
We celebrated 15 years of tradition with our dedicated team and our loyal customers. Over 1500 positive reviews!
2025
🏆 Gold Medal
We won the Gold Medal at the 2025 Kürtőskalács Competition, confirming our excellence and our dedication to quality.
